Hi,
I would like all of you, to share in my endeavours at creative writing; to journey with me along the path to eventual publication.
I write because I love the freedom that writing offers. Like many, I am tired of the constraints of what is known and wish to explore the universe with different eyes.
It would bring me great pleasure if I can spread joy to others on my quest to fill my mind with all that I can imagine.
This is an award free blog. Your presence and comments are more than enough.
I hope that what I write will not offend anyone. If it does, I apologize profusely as it is not my intention to do so. I am embarking on a period of exploration with words and hope what I produce will be stimulating and different .
From time to time, I will post extracts from my writings. I am currently working on several pieces; I am close to completing my first young children’s book “Ringu and the Warfoo King.” With some help, I will also do the illustrations. Drawing is another of my hobbies.
I have created my own hand-drawn avatar, a Pegasus, which during the Renaissance was a symbol of poetry and in later years seen as source of inspiration for all poets.

When I feel a bit overwhelmed , I take a deep breath and search for the wisdom of others to guide me.
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
C. S. Lewis
“Great thoughts speak only to the thoughtful mind, but great actions speak to all mankind.” AND
“The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything.”
By Theodore Roosevelt
“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”
By Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ― Oscar Wilde

Brilliant stuff 😀 I especially like your Pegasus. I didn’t know they inspired poets, but I can certainly see why they would. 🙂
Yes, I only discovered this fact about Pegasus a few months before starting this blog! Glad you enjoyed your visit! 🙂

Thanks for your visit! Of course I don’t mind. I am glad they are proving to be universally inspiring ! 🙂
Sorry for the duplicate comments. My phone went a bit crazy. Lol
No probs, everyone does something like this once in a while!
I think you have a dear heart, but it is my fondest wish for you that you might offend someone. In my own writing, I do war with the demon of censure and the battle is neck and neck right now. Between offending someone and telling the truth, choosing the ladder feels best to me. I look forward to following your blog. 🙂
I do not feel the need to be too controversial and offensive, as I still have much to explore within the boundaries that I have set for myself. As for “truth,” I have wrestled with that concept and as I grow older I am beginning to realize it is a perception/burden we each carry differently. I always aspire towards my sense of truth and hope that what I write is close to a reflection of a universal truth/observation. Thank you for visiting and sharing your thoughts! 🙂
Thanks
Thanks For visiting my post and liking it.:)

Nice to meet you here and love that we share not only the passion for writing but also drawing. My avatar too is hand-drawn! 😀
Good luck with your young children’s book and by the looks of it, you will enjoy working on the illustration too!
Thank you! It’s a lot of fun doing both, but it is challenging! I’ve more or less finished this project but am sitting on it for a while longer trying to muster the courage to commit to a final draft…alway tempted to make new changes as doubts creep into my mind..Ha!ha! Good luck with your endeavours! 🙂
I know what you mean. I’m only on Draft 2 but I already struggle to push it forward.
I’m sure you’ll find the strength to put your doubts aside and polish that final draft! Good luck to you too! 🙂
Good to meet another person on the journey! 🙂

Oh I love these quotes so much!! I have another WordPress blog for my Commonplace Book, which is someone’s personal collection of quotes that have inspired them, made them laugh or made them think about the world in new ways. My Commonplace Book has been ongoing for almost 50 years since I started writing down quotes, etc., in junior high school.
May I requote some of yours on my Commonplace Book blog and of course I will attribute that I found them on your WordPress blog? If you’d like to check out my other blog to see if you would like me to requote them there, here is the link: http://www.jeneanebehme.wordpress.com.
You have a wonderful blog that I have enjoyed reading a lot! 🙂
I would be honoured to have my work posted on your blog. Wow, 50 years of collecting quotes…just been blogging for over a year and I find it tough at times to keep going. Ha!ha!
I’ve only been blogging for a few months now on both of mine but my Commonplace Book is actually in two hard cover blank books that I got from Barnes and Noble. I originally just wrote the quotes or graffiti or quips that I found on little pieces of paper that I kept in a large manila envelope. It wasn’t until 10 years later that a co-worker, who was studying to be a high school English teacher, told me that my collection of quotes was really a Commonplace Book. I’d never heard of that before! She suggested buying a blank book and writing all of my quotes down in that and that was much better than my tattered manila envelope lol! My Commonplace Book is now in two volumes but keeping my blog actually makes it so much easier to quickly find a quote about the many different subjects I have. Thank you so much for allowing me to re-quote some of your great ones and I will attribute them to your blog 🙂
Thank you, sweetie, for following my Commonplace Book blog and I’ve posted your quotes that I loved from your home page and thank you also for your kind permission for me to do so! 🙂
Lovely to be here amidst your inspirational writing… IAM going to enjoy our friendship here X barbara
Always happy to make new friends! 🙂
Thanks for the 🙂 on my post! I enjoyed reading a little about you and look forward to reading more of your creative work! The quotes you listed are so powerful!
Thank! I enjoyed my visit! 🙂
