Dark side of immortality

If my quest for immortality
Were truly blessed-
What price would
I now pay?

To live a thousand years
And much, much, more.
To see the endless tears,
Tearing at my core.

To cast a shadow,
That knows no end,
In an eternal meadow
That light can’t tend.

To witness happy moments,
Escape my grasp,
leaving unending torment,
That will ever last.

To be, detached from time,
And see boredom claim my mind.
Surely, life will turn to grind,
For this everlasting crime.

Oh, to live with love and loss,
Forever entwine-,
As a stream of dross,
For insanity to find;

Though death I would deny,
Pain I would now gain.
With such pleasure wry,
Surely life will be my bane.

In search of Genius

I write what simply comes.
From where, I do not know or even care.
With it, time, I do now share.

There is no need for embellished words,
or obscure words to play.

Keep it simple.
Keep it pure,
your claim to fame it will secure.

One moment of blissful thought.
One moment of pure creativity.

One moment is all I need.
One moment with the giver of immortality.

Maestro (The Master)

A touch and feel,
with creative zeal,
your art you do reveal.

Deep is your perception,
that no blemish can elude your gaze.
The mist, that do others blind,
cannot deceive you.

Effortless beauty with abundance spreads;
a chiselled feature to bring balance,
a word turned and twisted to enhance,
a defining brush stroke to inspire,
and set hearts on fire.

You mould and shape,
and with shadows play.
The truth in time you do display.

With the lightness of butterfly wings,
the grace of a swan,
the boldness of a tiger,
you sweep away conventions,
and show heavens true intentions.

With tears, angels sing your praise.
Mankind you do amaze.

Yours is the gift to imbue immortality,
to instill the essence of greatness in all things
and objects inanimate.

Bringing life where there was none.

Your light, like a torch in darkness,
shines a path that others will proudly follow,
till the end of time.
